Take a look at used 2017 E300s. They are a whole other level of vehicle and they can be had in the high teens. The X1 and GLA are the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality from both brands, and are more similar to a high trim Honda or Toyota rather than what people expect from Mercedes.
I think that the W116 and W126 get mixed together with each other because of how similar they look.
Any Mercedes Benz made up until the 1990s is pretty much engineer first, bean counter second. The W140 S-Class had standard features taken away midway through its production because they cost too much to produce.
It is technically possible through the Mercedes Designi Manufaktur program which allows you to customize the car further than regular spec. Although I would suspect that this car is wrapped because it makes more sense for resale values.
The real BWT Pink Mercedes
Polish those headlights! I’ve used the Sylvania kit and it worked wonders.
To be honest, if I were in the position to buy a ~$200k car I would buy a certified 2012 Phantom over a new Maybach. It’s an entirely other tier of vehicle and with it being Certified you dont have to worry as much about reliability. At the end of the day the current Maybach is still built on a platform that starts at $90k.
It is definitely special, it is the highest tier of S-Class, but it isn’t at the level that the older 2000s Maybach 57/62 models were.
Interesting, I didn’t really think about how the dynamic range of the video would impact their systems. My thought process was that I figured that having higher contrast could help differentiate depth by having things more pronounced from each other.
I believe it was also available on the RWD S550, the regular S600, as well as the AMG models.
I’m nowhere near an expert on the topic of AI driving, but I thought that an AI would want higher contrast video rather than low. Can someone more knowledgeable than me explain?
Active Body Control, now called Magic Body Control is a hydraulic suspension system that auto levels itself many times per second and can scan the road for bumps and calculates when it needs to soften or firm up.
The Maybach has higher standard equipment, more sound insulation, has a longer wheelbase by ~8” (correct me if I’m wrong), and has ABC suspension
Americans have it better in terms of owning nice cars. Taxes on income and cars are generally lower, and we get higher tier Mercedes models with larger engines.
Florida or California most likely
To be honest, I don’t like the direction the regular E wagon is going in. Similar to the V90 Cross Country the standard E-Class Wagon is lifted with black plastic accent pieces. The E63 Wagon is the regular height without the plastic which is much better.
Especially the AMG versions, they are one of the best sleepers that can be bought new.
The average income of a new E-Class wagon is actually higher than a new S-Class sedan. It’s somewhere around $380k vs $340k

Correct, it is the one to the left of the Colony Hotel
Does anyone know what these tombstones are made out of? They’re gorgeous and I assume they’re made of marble or quartz but I’m not sure
It’s so distracting being the driver of a car full of people, especially friends from my experience
I think that if Bezos started to liquidate his entire portfolio the impact that his buy orders would make would be nothing in comparison to the press. Also, this is why CEOs have to plan selling their stock ahead of time and disclose it to shareholders.
