Thanks for sharing.

High level....alcoholic woman started her cult after her third marriage dissolved and walked out of her job at McDonalds declaring Donald Trump was her father and she was the incarnation of God.

I wonder if she died naturally, was murdered, or sacrificed herself.

I JUST listened to a podcast on this and I'm so relieved they are being disbanded. Apparently she drank so much alcohol that her followers said it was proof she was divine, because no normal human could drink that much. So I'm guessing that had something to do with her death, but I could see the other two things too.

u/Mc6arnagle May 04 '21

they need to learn about their true lord and savior, Andre the Giant.

5

u/BigFatTomato May 04 '21

His holiness Wade Boggs

2

u/IntrepidDreams May 04 '21

May he rest in peace.

2

u/greenknight May 04 '21

Wade's one time peak drinking adventure is stuff of baseball legend, but isn't really that impressive being in the realm of achievement for anyone on a non-stop bus trip across America.... I'm pretty sure I've put away 4 doz brew in 24 hours no probs. Timed right, that's two solid days drinking with a nice nap in between. And Miller lite? Is that even beer?

André's ability to consume is absolutely astounding by all accounts. Dusty Rhodes (fellow Pro wrestler ) has a few stupidly good stories about André, including drinking 150 beer in a few hours. And that was his life... All the time.

I’ve never seen a man eat so many chicken wings! They’re really spicy!

43

u/alexabobexa May 04 '21

Man? Or GOD???

1

u/WhatAmIDoing229 May 04 '21

Sounds like a hot wing challenge promotion for your local wing joint. Also like a regular show episode.

8

u/TheSensualSloth May 04 '21 edited May 04 '21

No Brian those chicken wings are really spicy! Don't eat those!!

23

u/suga_pine_27 May 04 '21

Ooo what podcast was it covered on?

41

u/alexabobexa May 04 '21

It's called True Crime Campfire. They usually cover true crime (obviously) but last week they profiled three different cults. This one was by far the most terrifying!

5

u/suga_pine_27 May 04 '21

Awesome thank you! I’ve actually never heard of that podcast, excited to check it out.

3

u/Threwaway42 May 04 '21

I would definitely say cults fall under true crime, it is my favorite subsect

3

u/moneysign May 04 '21

The Sinisterhood podcast has an episode on this cult too.

4

u/sticks14 May 04 '21

lol

Isn't there a pantheon in Russia? Maybe that's why they're difficult to poison.

3

u/Timberline2 May 04 '21

Did not know that Mac’s mom started a cult. Fascinating.

3

u/Bluest_waters May 04 '21

she wasn't even that old, you can see in the video how she aged rapidly

Alcohol kills you when you drink it that much

3

u/smashdaman May 04 '21

Challenge accepted, SHOTS

2

u/mamrieatepainttt May 04 '21

this is hilarious to me. do they not understand alcoholism? when you drink daily, you build tolerance. i'm sure her alcoholism was part of the reason her health was so bad.

Well shit, I must be the second coming of Jesus then. I mean, I do homebrew, so technically I turn water into wine.

1

u/zzzoplicone May 04 '21

What was the podcast?

1

u/alexabobexa May 04 '21

The latest episode of True Crime Campfire!

1

u/LuckyLizardbar May 04 '21

Hey Stan, I guess that qualifies you as divine.

23

u/Bluest_waters May 04 '21

Fucking Trump!

I swear all these type of personalities LOVE Trump, I see it again and again. Its crazy.

18

u/spiritussima May 04 '21

You would think narcissists would hate each other but oddly doesn't seem to be the case. They love themselves so much, they see their own shitty traits in each other and praise it.

22

u/sticks14 May 04 '21

People not only aspire to be Donald Trump's child but believe that also makes you the incarnation of God?

Damn.

6

u/Bloody_lagga May 04 '21

I believe it was natural, the copious amounts of alcohol and colloidal silver helped. The last picture I saw of her alive she had turned blue.

5

u/thelingeringlead May 04 '21

Yeah she was majorly unwell and a raging alcoholic narcissist. I still cannot believe anyone would believe a word she says.

3

u/asuperbstarling May 04 '21

She poisoned herself to death with an INSANE amount of colloidal silver. She was purple by the time she died. There were livestreams and videos going out in the community. I heard about it on Facebook, as I'm from Crestone. She probably thought she was going to be fine.

3

u/pointy_object May 04 '21

My guess is that she died from substance abuse, given her alcohol and drug consumption.

3

u/sugar_tit5 May 04 '21

According to the cult subreddit she died of cirrhosis

2

u/npasty May 04 '21

This is insane to me! I drank so much in college that I entered psychosis for a very long time and eventually became diagnosed with Schizophrenia. I swear to you one of the delusions was that Trump was my dad as well. I didnt even discover until recently that my Schizophrenia was alcohol induced I just thought I coped with the Schizophrenia by drinking.

2

u/maddogcow May 05 '21

I’ve known a couple of woman who have drank that selves to death, and it pretty much looks like this, without the followers…

1

u/waitingtodiesoon May 04 '21

I am just curious how the hell did she get other people to believe her.

1

u/IrisMoroc May 04 '21

It's likely going to be one of two things: 1. She committed suicide for ritual reasons. 2. She had medical emergency and didn't seek treatment.

How the tables turn.

202

u/MuckleMcDuckle May 04 '21

Hmm, those Christmas lights in the background 10 seconds into the video...

72

u/SchpartyOn May 04 '21

Chekhov’s Gun

51

u/ahhhbiscuits May 04 '21

Say what you want about this cult but clearly they have a firm grasp on effective story telling.

3

u/LetterSwapper May 04 '21

Can't help but read this in Walter Sobchak's voice.

3

u/JeronFeldhagen May 04 '21

"One must never show Christmas lights in a video if they aren't going to be wrapped around one's mummified corpse. It's wrong to make promises you don't mean to keep."

286

u/chrisdab May 04 '21

This is an in depth VICE News segment on the cult that kinda revolved around her, even though she would get passed drunk every night and livestreamed themselves every day while seeking donators. Very angry and abusive personality even though cult called Love Has Won.

47

u/Charlie_Warlie May 04 '21 edited May 04 '21

Reminds me of roch thériault, canadian cult leader. Last Podcast on the Left just did a series on him.

He gets blackout drunk and start abusing/killing/fucking his cult members. I can not understand how they all took the abuse every day and still believed he was god.

18

u/nameless88 May 04 '21

That was a really good series but god damn it got brutal.

At least this lady didnt perform amateur surgery on her members, right?

5

u/Charlie_Warlie May 04 '21

Def one of the darkest cults they have covered in terms of rape and violence.

6

u/Nametoholdaplace May 04 '21

They did, insisted they were the only ones who could remove government tracking chips.

They weren't very consistent on where they would cut, and one member I spoke with said they didn't even cut him. Just knocked him out and told him they removed it.

1

u/nameless88 May 04 '21

Ooh. Jesus, lmao, alright then

4

u/ubertraquer May 04 '21

I feel like you could describe almost all LPOTL series this way.

“That was a good series but god damn it got brutal”

5

u/nameless88 May 04 '21

This one was a gold star episode and they gave ample warning that it was gonna get bad, and kept saying while talking about some brutal shit that that wasnt even the worst of it yet and fuck me if they werent right about that, haha

9

u/DMala May 04 '21

The DIY drunken surgery was the true horror of that situation.

They talked about it in the podcast. It’s basically a toxic combination of these people truly believing the leader is god and having no where to turn. If “god” is heaping abuse on you, then clearly you deserve it. And even if you get wise, you’ve severed all of your ties, given up all of your money and possessions, and you’re living in a compound in the middle of nowhere. Where are you going to go?

3

u/Charlie_Warlie May 04 '21

Yeah I get that it'd be tough to leave. But there was that social worker that was trying to help people. Anytime they visited, someone could have deserted.

2

u/CausticSofa May 04 '21

Learned helplessness is a fascinating deep dive. The You Are Not So Smart podcast covered it really well.

14

u/jpritchard May 04 '21

Read the old testament and tell me "angry drunk" isn't a popular description of god.

7

u/Charlie_Warlie May 04 '21

Ha point taken.

Or even when Jesus cursed a fig tree because it didn't have figs. FUCKING TREE SUCKS

1

u/Mute2120 May 04 '21

I have this odd impression some people who are drawn to this might have angry, controlling (drunk) daddy/mommy issues.

1

u/epantha May 04 '21

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRxD3eH19hE

They probably grew up with that type of abuse and think it is normal.

1

u/Aegi May 04 '21

Because since that isn’t normal human behavior maybe it’s normal god/demigod behavior.

1

u/mamrieatepainttt May 04 '21

hopefully not in that order. :[

8

u/grizzlyking May 04 '21

I feel like pretty much every cult preaches love and peace etc. and it's abusive behind the scenes.

3

u/DMala May 04 '21

I mean, cults basically exist to stroke the leader’s ego, of course there’s going to be abuse. And they need the “peace and love” to sucker people in. If they led with the abuse, recruitment would be difficult.

42

u/CactiRoots May 04 '21

When I saw the thumbnail of the article I thought they looked similar to people in a vice video I watched earlier this year. Can’t say I’m that surprised this happened.

24

u/tigersnakedragondog May 04 '21

Yeah I was like, wait a minute, either this is becoming far too normalized, or I know who that is.

18

u/Mahleezah May 04 '21

Thank you for sharing this. I wish everyone interested in this story would watch the video because it really helped me to understand how awful the whole situation really is.

6

u/Babywhale May 04 '21

I believe she or her followers were also on a Dr. Phil episode...

6

u/Bluest_waters May 04 '21

of fucking course they were, that fucking parasite glommed onto them and gave them publicity

3

u/Vericatov May 04 '21

It really baffles me that, in this day and age, people fall for this and can get sucked into weird cults. I guess it probably has something to do with upbringing, abuse, etc.

3

u/crampedstyl May 04 '21 edited May 04 '21

The cult was also on Dr. Phil around the same time last year for allegations of child abuse.

https://youtu.be/_UboTwKdLxU

2

u/nacho17 May 04 '21

I JUST watched this before finding this story.... eerie.

2

u/mobappbrowse May 04 '21

It’s so nuts that it would be impossible to satirize this.

2

u/Shpellaa May 04 '21

Really disturbing if this is just what was caught on camera of her treatment of children and animals.

2

u/badSparkybad May 04 '21

How am I not surprised at all that Donald Trump appeared in that video.

Hard to get past when she put the kid in the closet. I have a kid around that age and can't imagine doing that to them. I know it's not the worst punishment but the casualness with which it was done makes it seem it was far from the first time. And hearing the little fists banging against the door... :'(
