As a result, his followers decided to flood his wallet with Ethereum (and other coins). The crypto is flowing in like crazy. He's received 2x 10 ETH transactions, and 75 transactions of 1 ETH or more. In total, there are over 2600 incoming transfers.

He's been posting memes all day and has a goal of earning $1m in crypto. When I exported the TX history, there were 2620 TXs and 2404 unique sending addresses, which shocked me since I thought it was just a publicity stunt.

We try farming moons for a few hundred to a few thousand every month, and this guy figured how to earn $600k in an afternoon.

Yesterday the news broke of one of the biggest Crypto wallets ever being hacked and compromised, Atomic Wallet. This one likely hits very close to home as many here, including me, also had some of their assets on it thinking it would a safe choice.

Before we go towards a possible solution for all of these Wallets hacks and what I find is the best way to counter all of that uncertainty, let‘S look at the stats of this one. For that we are taking the held pf the on-chain detective ZachXBT, who has monitored the biggest losses so far.

Here we can see the five biggest victims of this hack as of the latest update. One singular person even lost 7.96M USDT, another person lost 1875 ETH ($3.5M) and many more people lost many hundreds of thousands. The total combined losses have exceeded well above $35M, with the top 5 taking up $17M losses themselves.

Moreover, ZachXBT has brought to attention that even during those tough times many scammers are targeting the victims with fake refund programs that will cost even more of your assets. Be really safe out there right now and only take news form the official Atomic Wallet account.

As to how we could find a solution to the many wallet hacks happening, from MyAlgo Wallet to now Atomic Wallet, for me this seems obvious: Just as we always told each other to not keep all our eggs in the same basked with our Crypto investments, the same applies for keeping you Crypto in wallet. Have multiple wallets and also hardware wallets to keep your Crypto safe and most importantly write down the seed phrase for all of them safely.

It's really a step backwards to regulate privacy cryptocurrencies. This means the local governments are trying to regulate things because of bad actors. Meanwhile bad actors are also using more cash FIAT than privacy cryptocurrencies.

This is not what decentralization looks like. I fear that more and more companies will try to control people and their funds where they can. Governments probably seek to some kind of centralization where they can intervene when possible.

For anyone staking or using Ledger as your wallet, be aware that the latest firmware update introduced an option for Recovery Seed Service.
The ledger team has yet to clearly outline the functionality of this but they already stated that this paid service will broadcast the seed to third-party companies (also not disclosed). This leaves the question as to what the options are for people who are not opted in. Can even their seed be broadcasted unknowingly?
This is a full betrayal of the Ledger who has always stated to never ever share the keys online. The community is very upset. Please have your voice heard in the ledger sub.

Ben.ETH is a "popular" crypto influencer. About a month ago, he launched a token called $BEN. A few days after it was released, the project was rug pulled and Ben.ETH made millions of dollars from the scheme.

Shortly after the $BEN fiasco, Ben.ETH announced another project, but this one was going to be better. He built up a bunch of hype and had a presale for his new token, $PYSOP. Shortly after being distributed, quite a bit of money was added to the LP. Ben.ETH took his overwhelming supply and swapped everything for ETH, leaving his project worthless and making off with millions.

Then, shortly after this fiasco, Ben.ETH announced a 3rd project. This time, he promised his followers, will be different. He learned from his prior mistakes. He was going allocate a whole 33% to users who bought the token on pre-sale. He was "only" going to keep 67% of the remaining tokens. This new token would be called $LOYAL, because Ben appreciates loyalty. He also decided to partner with this sub's favorite influencer, BitBoy.

What could go wrong? Well, today the token was released and this happened.

Keep in mind, the image is Ben's PFP. In reality, it is literally just an orange square. Absolutely 0 effort whatsoever.

At .1 ETH for 10k mints, this will generate 1000 ETH (or ~$1.86 million).

Well, he has already minted 9000. He is saying the last 1000 will be given to $LOYAL holders, likely done as a way to curry favor. It has traded over 500 ETH so far (creator earnings are 5%) and the floor is .135 ETH, best offer is .112 ETH. It is the top collection over the last hour on OpenSea.

I can't believe how willing these people on crypto twitter to just give money to people who are, at best, grossly incompetent, and most likely, complete fraudsters and scammers. To add on top of it, the NFT is a membership. 1 membership is all someone needs for access to "future product." Yet, there's only 27% unique ownership on this NFT.

I simply don't understand this mindset. I'm also glad for Reddit and its web3 community for being significantly more intelligent. So, how many more scams will Ben.ETH be able to pull off?

Ledger finally caved to users complaints and have decided to delay the release of Ledger recover. They have also announced the will be accelerating their open-source roadmap to try and appease the customers who are changing hardware wallets and leaving Ledger.

The CEO of Ledger also released a letter explaining the new path the company has decided to take.

The CEO has gotten a bit of backlash since he is still blaming the customers for not understanding the service instead of realizing that the majority of their current customers don't want this service.

It's comical to see him do this and I don't understand his logic here. If Bitcoin doesn't offer any value, how could you use it to sell art? When confronted on the reasoning for why he's responded with the idea that it's still a real, original oil painting and may hold it's value over time. There will be 50 total prints signed by him and the artist, each with a corresponding Ordinal. Looks like it's going to be auctioned off in NYC.

Whether he eventually admits it has value in the future or not, it doesn't really matter and Bitcoin doesn't need him. But if you're going to be against it but use the technology that really means you acknowledge it's worth.
